Vietnam visa for Chilean citizen
Vietnam visa for Chilean citizen
Dear Sr./Madam,
I’m a chilean citizen and arrived in Vietnam 10/12, I understand that I don’t need a visa and I can stay for 90 days. At the airport they allowed me to stay until 24/12. I was planning on going to Cambodia now and coming back to Vietnam around 23/12, do I need a visa now?
Thank you in advance,
Paulina Grob
Dear Paulina Grob,
Thank you for contacting us.
We would like to confirm that since Chileans Ordinary passport holders are exempted for a Vietnam visa (multiple entries) with maximum permitted length of stay per entry is 90 days under the condition that the purpose of entry does not include remunerated activity (valid from 11 Aug 2017). Hence, there had been a mistake when police border was stamping your immigration stamp. You can amend this by going in person to Vietnam Immigration Department at your current location.
Please note that if you not re-stamp your visa, once you exit Vietnam and come back on 23 Dec 2017, you must apply for a visa to be able to enter Vietnam. Since to enjoy the visa free, the new entry date must be at least 30 days apart from your last exiting date in Vietnam using visa exemption. If the time distance is less than 30 days, you still need to apply for a visa.
We hope this information is helpful for your and should you need any further support, kindly let us know.
